SLR Residuals

Short-Arc Orbit Corrections

For all plots see explanation below:
  • Histograms: bin plots of SLR residuals and short-arc orbit corrections.
  • Number of SLR data plots: plots of the number of SLR residuals as a function of time.
  • Time series plots: plots of SLR residuals and short-arc orbit corrections as a function of time. A smoothing (red crosses), using boxcare average, is applied on raw data with a step and a width which are defined on each plot.
  • Correlation plots: linear correlation between the smoothed time series (defined above) between studied orbits are computed.
    All plots can be found in gif and postscript format.

    SLR Residuals

    For all statistics and plots see explanation of titles below:
  • Global SLR Residuals: residuals from input orbit without any fit.
  • Pre-fit SLR Residuals on Adjusted Arcs: residuals from input orbit without any fit but for the arcs and the SLR stations from which short-arc orbit corrections can be computed.
  • Post-fit SLR Residuals on Adjusted Arcs: residuals from orbit with short-arc orbit corrections (for the same arcs and SLR stations than above).

    By SLR station: SLR residuals are presented in form of histograms and time series (mean and standard deviation) for each SLR station. From time series of residuals, correlation between the two set of orbits have been computed.

    Globally by area: SLR residuals are also presented in form of histograms, time series (mean and standard deviation) and number of SLR data globally for each area. Only Global Residuals for all stations choosen in the area are presented. From time series of residuals, correlation between the two set of orbits have been computed.

    Short-Arc Orbit Corrections

    Statistics: Short-arc Orbit Corrections are presented in form of histograms (orbit correction and formal error) for each area. Short-arc Orbit Corrections are available for radial, along-track and across-track components.

     

    Time series and Correlation: Time series plots and correlation between short-arc orbit corrections applied on two sets of orbits are presented. Plots of these correlations can be found for each area. Short-arc Orbit Corrections are available for radial, along-track and across-track components.
